An alarm clock that wakes you up with fresh coffee

Its a part of nearly every ones daily morning routine. You roll out of bed and crawl to the coffee machine to make your morning brew half asleep with crust in your eye. Thankfully Joshua Renout has come up with what he is calling The Barisieur that should shift your morning ritual.

The Barisieur is not only a premium coffee machine but it also doubles as an alarm clock which is also different than any other alarm clock you may have already used in the past. Instead of the annoying loud beeps or music that may wake you up currently, The Barisieur uses a series of stainless steel balls to gradually wake you up with their movement throughout the machine as it starts to heat up and brew your cup of joe.

#Bendgate 1 Week Later

50 million views later, the video that kicked off #Bendgate turns one week old today. Lewis Hilsenteger who runs the Unbox Therapy Youtube channel has really put everyone on notice to an issue that more than likely would still rise up over time but maybe not to this extent.

As soon as a day after launch day the iPhone 6 Plus began to gain some critics because of the fairly unavoidable bending issues when put in either a front or back pocket. While we would never recommend putting any phone in your back pocket if your going to sit on it, its absolutely unacceptable for you not to be able to pocket your iPhone in your front pocket without worry.

Yes we know in the infamous Unbox Therapy video there are extreme amounts of pressure applied to the device to eventually make it severely bend and ultimately crack the screen but the fact that the device even slightly can bend just from being in your front pocket seems like the ultimate fail for Apple.

If your going to purposely bend your iPhone to prove this point then your a straight up idiot. However if over several months or maybe even weeks if the phone starts to gradually bend and then ultimately break this is an issue Apple must address somehow other than a disregarding press release and a durability test video.

Yes you can replace every phone that shows these signs of wear but what does that really accomplish in the end? Your still going to have to worry about bending a beautiful phone unless you want to bulk up your device with a sturdy case. This shouldn't have to be something you have to worry about when purchasing a device of this caliber and is truly a shame.

It comes to a point when one has to ask themselves maybe thinner isn't always the answer to good design. While we love the aesthetics of the new iPhone we cant help but still pick up our iPhone 5s and love the rigidity and solid feel that its older sibling once had. So while you more than likely wont end up breaking your iPhone if your just pocketing it we shall see what ends up being the case months down the line after normal use and see whether this infamous video was the catalyst and fire starter for a bigger issue that Apple may be trying to cover up.

The Transparent Speaker by People People

Just when you think you've seen it all when it comes to speaker sizes, shapes and ideas in comes this amazing piece of design and audio candy called The Transparent Speaker. The design studio, People People, has come up with this wonderful speaker that easily shattered their original Kickstarter goal and is now in production.

The speaker itself uses dual 3-inch full range drivers and a 6.5-inch woofer for that always necessary kick. You can control the bass, treble and volume all from the external controls that are located on the from of the box as well.

While the speakers definitely aren't on the cheap side of things, $460 assembled, you have to know your going to pay a premium for a product like this that pushes the limited and boundaries of both design and sound so well. Aer Duffel Pack: The Modern Office and Gym Bag

The Duffel Pack is the creation of San Francisco based Aer. Their mission was to create a bag that is versatile enough to keep up with our daily fast paced lives and able to securely hold and manage both your precious gadgets and anything else you carry with you from day to day. The project is currently being funded on Kickstarter here with them nearly about to break their goal number any day now.

The layout of the bag is something completely new and unique with its dedicated laptop/ipad sleeves, ventilated shoe pocket, quick access side pockets, water resistant build and compact footprint ensuring this bag stays compact when on your back. Big kudos to Aer for that one, there is nothing we hate more than big bulky bags especially when you have to lug around a laptop around all day.

We're always on the hunt for the best household tech friendly pieces that infuse classic minimal design with today's tech dependant culture. This "Stage Interactive" shelf by Spell is easily one of the best creations we have stumbled upon in some time. The cleverly designed and beautiful shelf may just look like a simple wall shelf with a cut out to stand up your tablet or phone but that's where your wrong.
