TODAYSHYPE Spotlight: Stay extra cozy with these options from Manitobah

Were always on a constant search for the most unique, well made and above all most cozy footwear on the planet and we recently came across a Canadian born and bred footwear brand called Manitobah. They have recently been gaining a lot of attention for their wide range of high quality and extremely comfortable footwear options and after we got our hands on a few pair from the brand we can easily say this hype is well deserved.

We had a chance to look at a few of their best selling silhouettes in the Okotoks Boot, Sunshine Moccasin and Paddle Suede Moccasin. Each has their respective lane and certain situation they are perfect for but the standout from the bunch was definitely the Okotoks Boot shown above.

Pictures and video can only do these boots so much justice as they really need to be felt in the hand to appreciate the care and high quality materials they have used here that are so buttery soft you never want to take them off.

If your on the lookout for a really unique and original looking boot or moccasin we highly suggest giving Manitobah a long and hard look. You can check out everything they have available for sale directly here and also make sure to continue below for our full gallery showcasing all 3 silhouettes.

TODAYSHYPE Spotlight: I Love Ugly

There are a handful of brands that encompass everything we truly love about menswear and streetwear. I Love Ugly is one of the names within the culture that has always been a true standout for us. Several factors contribute to why they push the actual culture itself in the right direction and its much more than just dope designs.

Super clean cuts, premium materials and designs that are copied by several other competing brands are just the tip of the iceberg here when it comes to the I Love Ugly name. We got our hands on a few select pieces from their latest offerings and wanted to bring you some visuals.

A few of our favorites included the iconic Zespy Pants in a new "Track" cut, a crazy blacked out Rain Jacket and a classic fully lined all white Coaches Jacket jus tot name a few. Make sure to hit up I Love Ugly directly here to purchase everything we got our hands on and also check out everything else they have up at the moment there is plenty to choose from.

TODAYSHYPE Spotlight: ETQ Amsterdam Low 3 White Croc

If your on the lookout for an up and coming high end sneaker brand to get up on our first recommendation would be ETQ Amsterdam. The last time we got our hands on a pair we were more than satisfied with what they provided and the amazing quality that really surprised us.

This time around we were lucky enough to get our paws on a pair of their latest creation the Low 3 in this crazy White Croc makeup. Not only is the all white upper with a blacked out sole rarely used in any sneaker but the fact that they also added the luxury touched of an all embossed croc upper this shoe really stands on its own when you try to compare it to other competitors options.

The attention to detail and lack of manufacture fuck ups like glue marks, bad cuts and normal lack of care you get with some of the other bigger named sneaker brands out there are thankfully absent here. You literally cannot find one flaw or error on the construction of this shoe everywhere you look.

Make sure to continue below for our full on foot galley of this beauty and also click here to purchase a pair now directly from ETQ Amsterdam. Also hit up ThreadWorkshop Co. for the Side Zip Black/Gold Joggers worn in the gallery here.

TODAYSHYPE Spotlight: Native Fitzsimmons Print

One of the most important items to have in your arsenal as the seasons change and the leaves start to fall is a good pair of water resistant but still fly boots. While most people tend to rock with 6-Inch Timbs (We can't hate on that) what about something a little different to make you stand out from the crowd?

That's exactly what the Native Fitzsimmons Boot aims to do with this crazy new twist on their popular model which features an all over "Print" pattern shown here in Rocky Brown/Dublin Grey. Like nearly all of Native's line up the Fitzsimmons features a washable, odor resistant and most important "Beast" or animal free construction.

It is really quite shocking how light and airy the boot feels once they are in your hand its truly remarkable how non existent they feel when you hold them. The light weight is a major benefit to the boot as well when alternatives in the same category use heavy construction which normally means a heightened wear and tear aspect but the Native boot can more than hold its own since its made of a highly durable plastic.

We really loved everything about the Fitzsimmons Boot and would highly recommend you take a chance and give them a shot if you in the market for a pair of unique and fresh boots for the Fall/Winter months. Make sure to check out Native directly here to purchase a pair and continue below for our full on foot gallery of them in action.

TODAYSHYPE Spotlight: CLAE Arthur x LIFUL White Tumbled Leather

One of CLAE's best selling and most simplified models is their "Arthur" silhouette. The stripped down and timeless sneaker is a true all around shoe that you can wear in nearly any situation and still look fly.

CLAE recently linked up with one of the industries leaders in equally clean and timeless menswear LIFUL. So what happens when the two get together and collaborate on a shoe as clean as the Arthur? The end result is just what you would expect with premium white tumbled leather covering the entire upper of the shoe and little nice touches like a red and blue miss match aglet on the laces and subtle LIFUL and CLAE branding on the heel tab.

Some people may want a crazy off the wall outcome for certain collabs but for this specific collaboration we couldn't be any more happy with the simple and streamlined results the two have come up with.

We thankfully got our hands on a pair and shot some on feet images which you can view directly below. Make sure to go pick up a pair directly from CLAE here and also check out the LIFUL online store here.

TODAYSHYPE Spotlight: lululemon F/W Oct/Nov Releases

lululemon has become a trailblazer in the active wear and yoga world thanks to both their ideology and overall care for their products but also the love for the many people who support the brand. Its more than just a big named brand pushing repetitive product your way every month. To them its about a lifestyle and way of living your day to day life that comes out in the thought and execution of every piece they have been selling since 1998.

We had an opportunity to showcase some of our personal favorite pieces from their latest drops and bring them to you here. To say lululemon lives up their price point is definitely a true understatement. More often than not you will see certain competing brands come in at a high price point but have products that don't even garner half the price they pay. lululemon pieces not only will last through years of daily abuse but they use some of the highest quality fabrics and materials you can find anywhere.

From the gym to your yoga class and even some pieces that tip toe that fine line in between casual and active wear that you can wear in a more casual setting. This is why we appreciate and hold lululemon as the standard. This is that X factor that some try to duplicate and perfect but most cant even come close.

Make sure to check out the lululemon online store directly here to pick up everything you see in our full gallery below and stay tuned for more coming very soon from the TODAYSHYPE crew.

TODAYSHYPE Spotlight: Penfield F/W '14 Collection

Penfield has long been a staple for premium American born outerwear since the mid 70's. Year after year they prove how strong their presence is in the crowded ever expanding market they helped shape.

We had a chance to get our hands on a few of our favorite pieces from their latest F/W '14 Collection to showcase for you here in this spotlight feature. If you haven't already owned a piece from Penfield consider this your introduction and fair warning that you will not find a more solid piece of outerwear as soon as the temperature starts to drop.

The Elk pullover anorak jacket is a simple throwback to a classic design and easy to wear piece that fits in well with the Fall weather. At first glance it may look more of a thin layering piece but upon further looking you notice right away that the Elk is deceivingly warm and can easily keep you not only dry from the elements but warm from fairly cold temperatures. The split two tone color blocking sets off the jacket perfectly and the added splash of red on the inside is a virtual cherry on top.

The Clarkdale is an easy to wear versatile shell jacket with pockets for days and a slim fitting close to body cut. A full 100% Nylon Taslon which can easily wick away water without worry. Rubber cuff adjusters were one of our favorite touches on the Clarkdale as little touches like this are what make pieces like this stand out amongst the rest. The Clarkdale is truly an all around top pick for a Fall essential jacket.

Lastly the Rockford short down jacket ends things with a timeless classic. The iconic silhouette features a 80/20 quilted down trapping. In Lehman's terms its going to keep your ass warm no matter how low the temperature drops. The jacket remains slim and doesn't suffer from the dreaded bulky feel that other brands tend to go with in this silhouette. The buffalo plaid shoulders and black corduroy accents around the collar and cuffs cap off the jacket perfectly.

Make sure to continue below for our full gallery in whole and hit up the Penfield online store directly here to pick up each piece we covered and also take a look at what else is available from the large F/W '14 drop.

TODAYSHYPE Spotlight: Clae Strayhorn Vibram

Clae has quickly become one of the go to destinations if your looking for something a little left of what may be offered from the normal swoosh or three stripes offerings out there. Their versatile and ever expanding lineup includes some real gems and the Strayhorn Vibram that were taking a look at here is one of our favorites.

In what could be the your favorite all around Fall shoe, the Strayhorn Vibram features some sleek and classy lines everywhere you look with everything sitting on a classic white and rugged Vibram sole. A deep navy leather is used throughout the entire upper of the Strayhorn which is a smooth, supple and lush leather that is sure to only get better with age as you wear these in.

There really isn't much to cover in regards to the the actual styling of the shoe as it borrows from the classic chukka and desert boot that you should already be familiar with. The addition of the Vibram Christy sole and the well done Clae construction is what really elevates the Strayhorn to a higher level and should definitely be considered as a next purchase if your looking for a solid, well constructed and versatile shoe for the Fall season.

You can pick up a pair now directly from the Clae online store here and make sure to continue below for our in depth gallery covering every angle of the shoe.

TODAYSHYPE Spotlight: Puma Blaze Tech Burnt Olive

Puma has been pushing out some real solid colorways as of late especially on their Blaze Tech silhouette. The low top and extremely cozy shoe not only is one of their freshest models but this Olive colorway we had a chance to get our hands on is hands down one of the best we have seen and that's saying a lot.

The Trinomic infused Blaze Tech features premium materials and construction everywhere you look. From the buttery soft yet durable olive suede covering the upper to the white tumbled leather accents that give the shoe that right amount of pop in the right spots setting of this colorway nicely.

Not only are the materials on point at every angle but the shoe itself, like many of Puma's other offerings, feels extremely solid and built like a tank. We really wish some of the other competing brands out there would follow in their footsteps and put this much attention to detail to every release like Puma does.

This Olive version couldn't have come at a more perfect time ripe for the Fall season and should fit in well with the pieces you already have lined up for the upcoming climate change. You can pick up the Blaze Tech in Olive at some select Puma retailers worldwide like End online here. Make sure to continue below as well for our in depth gallery covering the shoe at every angle.

TODAYSHYPE Spotlight: Clae Arthur

Clae always comes with solid offerings with different silhouettes and cuts versatile enough to get you through just about every season. The Arthur is one of their most clean cut sneakers in their vast catalog and one we really enjoyed taking a first hand look at.

This new Curry Leather version that we were blessed with features a real premium feel to it in a color that is ideal for the current Fall season. At first glance the shoe itself may look like it may on the heavier side of things like its other counterparts but this shoe is extremely light to say the least. It's not only a welcome surprise but also a key to this shoe's success and daily appeal.

The entire upper of the shoes is constructed of a full grain curry leather that almost looks aged in some places giving the shoe some character and texture. A neoprene upper on the tongue is just one of those little things that adds to the comfort of the shoe making it an easy favorite once you slip it on.

A white midsole with slight gum accents cap off the shoe well and make the Arthur one of the most versatile sneakers you can have in your rotation. You can pick up the Clae Arthur in this Curry Leather makeup and some alternate colorways right now directly from the Clae online store here.

Make sure to continue below for out full first hand gallery of this low top classy sneaker and stay tuned the rest of the week for some more first hand features.

TODAYSHYPE Spotlight: ETQ Low Top 2

In the crowded space that is the "luxury" sneaker world there are many brands out there trying to make a name for themselves. However there are only a select few that are doing things the right way in regards to the products they're pushing and the overall look and feel of the movement they represent.

ETQ Amsterdam is on that very short list of up and coming luxury sneakers out on the market at the moment that have been doing there thing the right way from the start. As soon as you take a look at their overall catalog you are blessed with several different silhouettes and cuts with all sharing a similar design aspect and look that is purely theirs.

I had the chance to take a first hand look at one of my favorite models from their catalog in the Low Top 2 in the Dark Anthracite colorway. This dark and monotone low top immediately lets you know from the jump that the folks at ETQ aren't messing around here. The entire upper of the shoe is made of a thick and extremely high quality nubuck leather that feels absolutely amazing in hand.

A textured tonal leather also lends itself to the mudguard of the shoe which gives this otherwise simple and plain makeup some nice texture and extra eye candy. The lining and insole of the Low Top 2 is wrapped in more premium calf skin leather capping the shoe off nicely and adding to that premium feel.

I was blown away with the construction, build, comfort and pretty much everything else you could think of with what ETQ is doing here. Do not be surprised to see ETQ Amsterdam really start making a name for themselves here towards the end of 2014 and into the new year. I could definitely see some nice collaborations on the horizon for the brand (Ronnie Fieg where you at?) that would give some of the other more well known and popular brands a real run for their money.

Make sure to hit their website here to purchase the Low Top 2 or one of there many other dope options available right now and continue below for the full gallery for these beauties.

TODAYSHYPE Spotlight: Dollar Shave Club

As a guy its one of the most important and sometimes costly daily routines we go through on a daily basis... the shave. With how many gimmicks, tricks and downright stupid things some of the bigger name manufactures throw out there in what seems like rapid fire it can be comical what they will come up with to grab your attention and take your money.

We thankfully ran into a new competitor in the industry that is aiming to not only make shaving affordable for once but also make the whole process in general much much easier. With a name like Dollar Shave Club its pretty self explanatory what they are all about. Three different packages make up their catalog and depending on which options you choose you can get razors delivered to your doorstep each month ranging from $1 plus shipping to just $9 including shipping.

We had the chance to test out the ladder of the collection called "The Executive" which features 6 stainless steel blades, a trimmer edge and a lubricating strip coated with Aloe, Vitamin E and lavender. The shavers them self also come with a nicely weighted handle to ensure a good balance and encourage a save shave even under the worst stubble.

You can also add at your discretion some additional facial care products as well like Dr. Carvers Shave Butter (amazing) and Post Shave moisturizer. One Wipe Charlies round out the additional add on's here and honestly once you use this whole package together don't be surprised to find yourself ordering them over and over again they are that good.

We whole heartily give Dollar Shave Club our full endorsement not only for the convenience of having them delivered to your doorstep month after month but also the quality of the product more than delivers in every aspect possible. When compared to the much more expensive in store alternatives these hold there own and then some with ease.

You can sign up for Dollar Shave Club directly here.

TODAYSHYPE Spotlight: PUMA Blaze Swift Tech

PUMA has a storied and long history in the sneaker game with iconic sneakers like the "Suede" and have created a new updated version of their already clean and sleek "Blaze of Glory". The Blaze Swift Tech features one of the best silhouettes we have seen in recent memory thanks to the little updates PUMA has thrown on the model that seem to take the shoe to a whole new level.

With added pieces like the matte molded heel counter that screams sleek and sophisticated elegance there should be no shock here that this quickly became an in house favorite. Pair that with a serrated semi-translucent smoked outsole that looks like the choppy ocean waters and you have us drooling.

The upper of the shoe also features a premium build with mixtures of high quality textured and smooth leather, soft mesh pieces and buttery suede accents. The comfort level on the shoe is definitely something that pleases with ease and actually improves somewhat on the already comfortable Blaze of Glory model that the shoe is built on thanks to the premium materials and the updated outsole which is more beefy than the original.

We cannot applaud PUMA enough for the Blaze Swift Tech and everything it represents for the brand moving forward. While other brands may be concentrating on super lightweight and extremely stripped down silhouettes its nice to have an alternative that focuses more on forward thinking design and isn't afraid to shake the cage a little bit with out of the box design aspects.

You can pick up the PUMA Blaze Swift Tech directly from the PUMA online store here and is available in the black/white colorway shown here or in the alternate all white makeup. Make sure to continue below for our full in depth gallery showcasing every angle of the shoe.
